Andrew Grieve
Andrew Grieve is a co-founder of Agentis Capital, where as Co-Head of Advisory he has advised on more than $20 billion of completed acquisition, financing and project development transactions across infrastructure, technology and industrials — including multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects for counterparties such as the Maryland and Colorado Departments of Transportation, and clients including the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and the Public Service Pension Plan of Canada. He has led many of Agentis Capital’s principal investments, frequently taking extensive operational roles, and serves on the board of the company that owns and manages Wealth One Bank of Canada. He was Chief Executive Officer of Zenabis Global Inc. (TSXV: ZENA) from 2019.
He holds a BCom in Finance from the University of British Columbia. He has served as an officer in the Canadian Army Reserve since 2003 and holds the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, currently commanding 15th Field Artillery Regiment, The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery.
Ian Watt
Ian Watt is a technology executive and founder with more than two decades of leadership experience across technology, government and enterprise environments. He has founded and operated businesses in recruiting, consulting and technology delivery, and has led large-scale initiatives spanning software development, organisational transformation, artificial intelligence, data-driven systems and complex programme execution across both the public and private sectors. He led the implementation of the federal government’s Rehabilitation Services and Vocational Assistance Programme for Veterans Affairs Canada, a multi-year initiative of approximately $40 million across more than 120 resources and 300 front-line staff. His work is now centred on the defence sector and on the practical application of emerging technology to operational and institutional problems.
He has served in the Canadian Army Reserve since 2000 and holds the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. He deployed to Afghanistan in 2013 as an advisor to the Afghan Ministry of Defence, specialising in strategy, policy and international military affairs. He commanded 5th Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery, from 2023 to 2026, and is currently an instructor at the Canadian Army Command and Staff College. He holds an Honours BSc in Computer Science, an MBA, an MA in Public Administration and a Master of Defence Studies, alongside PMP, PRINCE2, PROSCI and ITIL certifications.
Scott Savage
Scott Savage is Senior Industry Advisor for Worldwide Defence and Intelligence at Microsoft, where he works with defence, intelligence and national security organisations on artificial intelligence, sovereign and secure cloud, mission systems modernisation and defence industrial base innovation, and has held advisory roles across that practice since 2021. He served as Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of the Minister of National Defence from 2016 to 2018, and subsequently as a Senior Manager at Deloitte. Earlier he spent five years at TD in corporate finance and investment management, latterly analysing investments and developing strategies for global fixed-income and derivative portfolios totalling more than $150 billion. He is a co-founder of Resource Recon.
He has served in the Canadian Armed Forces for more than thirty years and is currently an Innovation Officer with the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command, having previously served as an Infantry Officer with The 48th Highlanders of Canada and as Officer Commanding of the Influence Activities Company, 32 Canadian Brigade Group. He holds an Honours BA in Military and Strategic Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada, an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, and a Master of Management in Artificial Intelligence from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. He is a CFA charterholder and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation.
Andrew Fursman
Andrew Fursman is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of 1QB Information Technologies (1QBit), a Vancouver-based company he has led since 2013 and grown from a four-person start-up to a firm employing more than one hundred people across Canada, working with Fortune 500 clients and hardware providers on problems in optimisation, simulation and machine learning. He led the creation and subsequent disposition of Good Chemistry to SandboxAQ at total proceeds of approximately US$240 million, and the establishment of Synthesis Health. He was a co-founder of Satellogic, now NASDAQ-listed, and of Cloudtel Communications, and a founding partner of the Vancouver venture firm Minor Capital.
He chairs the Mitacs Industry Council, has testified before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology on Canadian quantum capability, and has served on faculty at Singularity University. He studied economics at the University of Waterloo and philosophy and political science at the University of British Columbia, with post-graduate work in financial engineering at Stanford University.
